It is with pride and pleasure that Esbjerg Art Museum presents William Anastasi – one of the founders of Conceptual and Minimal Art.
In order to display the scope of the works of this outstanding artist we have allowed the exhibition to spread across the entire museum. Thus Anastasi’s works will appear in each and every exhibition hall:
In the solo exhibition on this floor we focus specifically on works that were created with the body as the medium.
On the first floor we let Anastasi’s art become part of the permanent presentation of our collection, Tableau, as well as of the summer exhibition, Counterpoint: Each tableau and each main work of Counterpoint is commented on by one of Anastasi’s works which thus elucidates all the essential positions of Modernism.
The exhibition is curated by Inge Merete Kjeldgaard.
